Free eye check-up camp

On 08/02/2026, Dharma Jyothi Social Centre, Vamanjoor, in collaboration with the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, jointly organized a free eye check-up camp. The camp was held on the premises of Vidya Jyothi English Medium School, Vamanjoor. Doctors from Prasad Netralaya Super Specialty Eye Hospital, Mangalore, conducted the check-ups. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by the Headmistress of Vidya Jyothi English Medium School, Sr. Ida SRA, and the Director of Dharma Jyothi Social Centre, Sr. Veera Monis SRA, in the presence of Dr. Shilpa. The hospital’s PRO, Mr. Sayyed, informed that during the camp, free spectacles were provided to those in need, and retina surgeries and treatments were offered at discounted rates. A total of 288 local residents benefited from the free eye check-up camp.
