Activities for the month of May 2024

On May 4th, 2024, the Dharma Jyothi Social Centre organized a children's camp at the Dharma Jyothi Centre. The event aimed to provide educational support and guidance to sponsored children. During the session, Mrs. Renita as resource person shared valuable insights and advice, enlightening both children and parents on effective parenting practices and the potential impacts of excessive mobile phone usage on child development. Following the informative session, 84 children were generously provided with essential study tools, including notebooks, school bags, and stationery items, by Sr. Joel empowering them with knowledge and resources for a brighter future.

On May 9th, 2024, the Dharma Jyothi Social Centre organized a children's camp for sponsored children at the Uppinagady Church premises. The event aimed to address the critical issue of sexual abuse and provide educational support to the participating children. Sr. JoelLasrado, SRA and Mrs. Renita served as resource persons for the camp. They conducted a comprehensive session on sexual abuse awareness, focusing on educating children about their rights, recognizing signs of abuse, and seeking help when needed. As a token of support and encouragement, 87 children were provided with free study tools, including notebooks, school bags, and stationery items, this gesture aimed to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with education and enhance the children's learning experience.

On May 10th, 2024, the Dharma Jyothi Social Centre organized a children's camp for sponsored children at the Centre. The event focused on empowering children through education and fostering a positive self-image.Mrs. Renita delivered an engaging talk on the importance of education and the significance of valuing one's body. The session aimed to instill in the children a sense of the importance of education in shaping their future and building a strong foundation for success. As a gesture of support and encouragement, 119 children were provided with free study tools, including notebooks, school bags and stationery items, generously provided by Sr. Joel. This contribution aimed to facilitate the children's educational journey and equip them with the necessary resources to excel in their studies.

On May 22, 2024, Dharma Jyothi Social Centre organized a children's camp at the DKRDS Centre in Belthangady. The camp aimed to support sponsored children by providing essential study tools and guidance on communicating with their sponsorsMrs. Renita served as a resource person, delivering a talk on the art of writing letters to sponsors. Her session likely provided valuable insights and guidance to the children on expressing gratitude and maintaining meaningful communication with their sponsors.Following the educational session, a total of 132 children were provided with free study tools, including notebooks, school bags, and stationery items. Fr.Binoy the director of DKRDS and Sr. Philomena SRA were present for this program.
